Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the Enjoy Mallorca and Mallorca Birdwatching Calendar 2018 Amateur Photographic Competition. The competition organisers, enjoymallorca.com, will store all entries and personal details of entrants for the duration of the competition.

Competition entry
By entering the competition, you agree to the provisions of these terms and conditions and to comply fully with them.

The competition launches on Monday 26th June 2017 and the closing date for entries is Saturday 19th August 2017. All entries received before midnight on Saturday 19th August 2017 will be accepted but any received after this time will not be eligible.

The organisers cannot be held responsible for emails that do not arrive due to the entrant’s email security settings or restrictions placed by their Internet Service Provider.

All photographs must be entered by digital submission via this website.

If your photograph features any person or people, they should be aware that they are being photographed and permission should be obtained from all involved (or their parent’s/guardian’s permission if under 16) for their photograph to be entered in to the competition. If it is clear that the people are not aware of their photograph being taken or are embarrassed in any way by the entry we receive, enjoymalloca.com reserves the right to disqualify the entry.

What to enter
Photos must be a maximum of 2MB and landscape in orientation. JPEG format is preferred.

Please note: Winning entrants will be requested to resubmit their chosen photograph(s) in high resolution (300dpi-600dpi) to ensure the quality of reproduction in the 2018 Enjoy Mallorca and Mallorca Birdwatching Calendar.

Each entrant may submit as many entries as they wish.

Entry is open to anyone aged 18 years or over.

Photographs must have been taken on Mallorca and fall within one of the two categories stipulated in the competition entry rules. Any photos found to have been taken elsewhere will be disqualified.

Image adjustment
The faithful representation of what was captured at the time of the shot being taken must be maintained. Digital adjustments are only acceptable if limited to minor cleaning work (removing dust spots), levels, curves, colour, saturation and contrast work. Sharpening and minimal cropping is allowed.

Compositing, multiple exposures, sandwich shots and double exposures are not permitted. Adding or removing animals, parts of animals, plants, distractions, people, etc., into/from the image is not allowed.

Competition judging and announcement of winners
Judging will take place during week commencing 21st August 2017 and all winners will be contacted by email after this date. Unless otherwise specified correspondence will be sent to the email address that each entry was submitted from.

Entries will be judged by the producers of the calendar.

The decision of the organisers on all matters relating to the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the competition’s judging and organisation.

Copyright and reproduction
You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of the image entered. You will retain copyright of your entry at all times and always be credited alongside your picture.
